Toy Organization
For this project, we followed the Montessori principles of organizing play spaces. The main goal was to purge about 50% of the toys, create homes for items, and devise a system to rotate toys to keep things clutter-free and promote the kiddos’ independence. Rotating items on a monthly or quarterly basis helps keep the kiddos interested in their stuff without having to buy more things. By purging and decluttering, we were able to free up plenty of room in an underutilized play space and organized the other play areas throughout the home, including bedrooms & living room. Now it is easy to find everything and toys are no longer taking over the whole house!
