Teen Bedroom Refresh

My client needed help transforming their teen’s bedroom from ‘little kid’ to a mature sanctuary for studying and hanging out. They had a modest budget but didn’t want to have a ‘magazine-ready’ room. But, the room certainly needed decluttering and a general refresh. We focused first on getting rid of the wall of knick-knacks and made better use of their closet to lessen visual clutter in the room. Then, we focused on new purchases including a bed, rug, dresser, shelves, and art work plus. We also opted to lighten the room by replacing the heavy curtains with roman shades. The teen wanted to be involved in the process and helped select most of the pieces with us - which meant they absolutely loved the end results.
