For this project, we wanted to make the open-concept layout feel more spacious and airy. We chose to remove the window above the fireplace and then focus the rest of the budget on new furnishings including a couch, chairs, coffee table, rug, and light fixtures. We intentionally picked products that could take wear-and-tear from kids but still looked sophisticated.
